One of the best ways to improve your running and ensure it is economical efficient and safe for you is by having your Biokineticist do a proper running assessment for you
WHAT IS RUNNING ASSESSMENT?
A video gait analysis involves running on a treadmill while a recording is made of the runner. The footage is slowed down and assessed by the Biokineticist. This helps identify biomechanical abnormalities in the gait cycle.
HOW IS A RUNNING ASSESSMENT DONE?
Running is analysed using a high speed camera while running on a treadmill which allows the Biokineticist to provide a comprehensive report of the running technique and biomechanics. A manual assessment of strength and flexibility is done and appropriate corrective exercises are prescribed where necessary.
WHO MUST HAVE A RUNNING ASSESSMENT DONE?
Runners of all abilities ranging from recreational runners to elite runners looking to improve efficiency and performance can benefit from a running assessment.
Running assessments can be performed on injured and non injured runners or runners returning from injury.
